Join us! NAPW's UNCSW Parallel Event & More

NAPW welcomed 2015 with energy, travel, and transitions -- including a move to new office space at 875 Avenue of the Americas, Suite 1807, New York, NY 10001.

In February, with NAPW's support, the Fifth annual Take Root: Red States Perspective on Reproductive Justice Conference took place in Norman Oklahoma. This year, more than 500 activists attended -- proving once again that there is no part of the US without people profoundly committed to reproductive health, rights, and justice. Mark your calendars for next year's conference: February 26-27, 2016.

Now with spring finally emerging, we are gearing up for a season full of events and public education collaborations. We are excited to invite you to join us at the following upcoming events and conferences across the country:

March 18 - New York City: NAPW & OSF United Nations Commission on the Status of Women Parallel Event, "Promoting the Rights of Women and Families at UN Sessions"

NAPW and Open Society Foundations (OSF) are hosting a parallel event to the UN CSW drawing special attention to the ways the war on drugs harms women. Panelists will present research and case studies addressing challenges to and strategies for protecting and promoting the human rights of women and families. It will be an opportunity to explain why women's rights organizations should join efforts to challenge the drug war as an assault on gender equality. This event will build momentum for ensuring that there is a gender perspective at the 2016 UN Special Session of the General Assembly (UNGASS), which will focus on the global war on drugs.

Join us for this free and public event at OSF's NYC offices (224 West 57th Street) on Wednesday, March 18 from 6-8pm. Please visit this webpage for more information and to RSVP: http://osf.to/1B4zxjE.
